Sunshine Correlations now has Three "WIDA Trained Correlators"

We are proud to announce that after many months in the making we have successfully traveled to Madison Wisconsin and become "WIDA Trained Correlators". We began the process last year by being part of the pilot program in collaboration with WIDA Consortium. We went through high-quality training sessions on how to correctly correlate instructional materials for ELLs to the WIDA ELP Standards and the criteria to complete WIDA Protocol for Review (PRIME) Correlations. Why Invest in an Official WIDA Correlation?

Publishers and Sales Representatives can share these resulting correlations with WIDA states, districts, or individual schools making purchasing decisions. These individuals can also request from WIDA a list of materials that have been correlated to their WIDA ELP Standards. WIDA is encouraging these states to request WIDA PRIME Correlations in their selections of instructional materials. Here are two reasons to invest in an Official WIDA Correlation:

The Process

The process of obtaining a "WIDA PRIME Correlation" is simple:

  1. Contact Marilyn Redding, Amanda May, or Jennifer Tew at info@sunshinecorrelations.com or call 512-971-8532
  2. You will need to send your Instructional Materials to:

  3. After receiving your material we will contact you with a quote and an approximate date of completion.
  4. One of our "WIDA Trained Correlators" will complete your correlation using the online inventory and their individual password to submit their review to WIDA. At this point WIDA will place a WIDA PRIME seal in the top right hand corner of the document to promote easy recognition and verification that this correlation has gone through a review by a WIDA-trained correlator.
  5. WIDA will add to their list and website: Publisher's Name and the title of their Instructional Material.
  6. Sunshine Correlations will electronically send you a copy of the correlation.
